Unleashing the green energy revolution

In an era marked by unprecedented challenges, the climate crisis stands as the most formidable. Addressing the climate crisis requires a bold leap into electrification, and electrification requires energy storage. A flexible, stable and resilient electricity grid is crucial for our societies, economies and lifestyles.

Ingrid Capacity emerged from this necessity, born from the collective insights of energy infrastructure enthusiasts, real estate and finance specialists, and forward-thinking investors.

Our progress

Since our founding in early 2022, we have become the leading Nordic actor in making energy systems more flexible, with an initial focus on energy storage. Originating in Sweden, we are currently driving an unprecedented expansion, deploying 400 MW of storage capacity at 20+ sites by 2025. We are currently leading an expansion outside of Sweden, with focus on Finland, Germany, Ukraine and other European regions.

Our vision

Flexibility and stability will be the key in the electricity grid of the future. By being at the forefront and empowering new technologies, Ingrid Capacity will play a crucial role in driving flexibility and stability in the grid. We envision Ingrid Capacity as a crucible of innovation, embracing the audacity to transform ideas into tangible solutions. We are not just building an enterprise. We are constructing a legacy for society and the climate.

Our impact

With the world shifting towards electrification, renewable energy takes centre stage. However, the variability of solar and wind power necessitates a robust and flexible energy storage system. Here lies our forte: flexibility, currently mainly served through large-scale battery storage, is a lynchpin in the future energy matrix, providing stability and efficiency to the power grid.

Our Promise

Energy storage is not just a piece of the puzzle; it's the cornerstone of a sustainable future. As we unfold our vision across Europe, we are not just participating in the energy transition — we are leading it, one battery at a time.

So, to conclude:

The essence of flexible energy systems is not rooted in complexity but in the profound simplicity of its benefits: bolstering local communities, fortifying national grids, and ensuring resilience in the face of adversity. At Ingrid Capacity, we are not just envisioning the energy system of tomorrow; we are actively constructing it today.

Our team

We are a dynamic team of around 55 people, rapidly growing. The team comprises a spectrum of expertise, from energy and asset management to electrical grids and data analytics. United by experience and driven by curiosity, we operate from our Stockholm headquarters yet closely follow the developments of energy systems throughout Europe.
