Ingrid Capacity Appoints Tycho Seeber as New Head of Trading to Drive Trading Growth across Europe

Ingrid Capacity announces the appointment of Tycho Seeber as new Head of Trading. With nearly two decades of experience in energy trading - spanning roles at some of Europe’s most advanced trading organizations – he brings deep expertise in asset-backed trading, power market optimization, and advanced risk modeling. His recruitment marks a significant step in Ingrid Capacity’s journey to become the leading integrated flexibility provider in Europe.

Brings Nearly Two Decades of Energy Trading Experience

Tycho brings nearly two decades of experience in energy trading and portfolio management, having held key roles at E.ON, BKW, and Uniper. At Uniper, he served as Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Developer, overseeing substantial energy positions within one of Europe’s largest and most advanced trading organizations.

Throughout his career, Tycho has managed multi-TWh PPA portfolios across European markets, spanning wind, solar, and battery energy storage assets. His expertise includes designing innovative offtake structures and power supply solutions for developers, corporates, and green hydrogen projects.

Driving the Expansion of Ingrid Capacity’s Trading Capabilities

As part of Ingrid Capacity’s ambitious growth plans to become Europe’s leading provider of flexibility and grid optimization, Tycho will spearhead the expansion of trading activities across the company’s Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and renewable energy portfolios. He will focus on maximizing value capture across power and ancillary service markets, while designing and pricing customized commercial solutions to de-risk Ingrid’s asset portfolio. His forward-looking approach will help unlock the value of Ingrid's ambition to build trading capabilities and optimizing the flexibility with a portfolio approach.

Driving Ingrid’s Growth Journey to become the European leading flexibility provider with vertically integrated grid flexibility solutions

Ingrid Capacity has rapidly established itself as the leading integrated flexibility provider in the Nordics, with over 200 MWh of grid-scale energy storage in operation and an additional 340 MWh under construction. The company also boasts a cutting-edge proprietary trading and optimization platform. By integrating physical infrastructure, intelligent software, and innovative commercial structures, Ingrid delivers tailored, high-impact solutions for capacity and flexibility offtake. With Tycho’s deep expertise in asset-backed trading and advanced pricing and risk models, he will bring sharp, data-driven leadership to the Ingrid Capacity team.
